My lab is dedicated to improving forest health through research and management of emergent tree epidemics in wildland, peri-urban, and urban forests. We work in interdisciplinary teams of researchers and stakeholders and use extension, multi-regional, and community-based approaches to respond to various emerging and re-emerging pathogens while advancing the field of forest pathology and disease ecology through theoretical and novel technical applications in epidemiology and microbiome research.
